Koh Phangan is an enchanting island located in the Gulf of Thailand, between Koh Samui and Koh Tao. It consists of mountain jungles sorrounded by bone-white beaches. The inner island is in reality intact, apart from a few small roads here and there.

Until the mid Eighties, Koh Phangan was nearly completely outside the international tourist routes, also due to the lack of an airport and other communication means.

Over time this "isolation" has proved to be a positive element, as it has helped the island to maintain its unique tranquil and relaxed atmosphere.
